The SDG Group of Companies is actively participating in the campaign  ‘There is no place for the shadow economy in this country’, which aims to draw public attention to the scale of the shadow economy and the harm it causes to the state and to every one of its citizens.

On 25 May 2016, the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė, met with members of the ‘Baltoji banga’ (White Wave) transparent business initiative and discussed the state of transparent business in Lithuania. Business representatives shared their experiences of the challenges they face in their operations across various sectors.

Lectures on transparent business and combating the shadow economy were held at SDG branches across Lithuania; employees of the group’s companies across Lithuania engaged with passers-by in the main town squares, handing out leaflets with an educational guide on how every citizen can contribute to reducing the shadow economy in Lithuania.

Here are a few highlights from the campaign events.
